Looks like an MCV is headed our way out of the Ozarks this evening... Went by to the south of me. I got nothing. Looks like I might catch a quick little shower here. It definitely shifted more easterly as it began to blow out.

0.31" last night, according to Jefferson Davis (Hogg) on the swing set.
We didn't have the big amounts like some did last month (after I finally replaced the console that wasn't logging the data prior to April 1).
5.13" in April.

Picked up a nice thundershower yesterday evening (about a 1/2" according to a friend) and an even more substantial rain this evening. My pond was almost full before this evenings rain, so I'm guessing it will fill up in the next 24 hours. Very nice to see. Now I can complain about mowing! 🙂

That is a pretty wild 3 hour radar loop. The heavier stuff shunted around me mostly but just the clash of the 2 separate clusters of showers/storms 'meeting/colliding' over JeffCo/STL. The start of the loop is general northeast movement. then some cells moving east, some northwest, cells over SGF, IL moving west/northwest for a short period. Nice collision set-up.

Keep the rain coming! I haven’t checked what was updated as of yesterday, but I’d guess most of SEMO is still in a drought.

1.12 in south st.peters last night.
Great soaking.
Next week I am very concerned looks like a multi day severe threat possible, and this time over our region Tuesday.
Tomorrow storms could get a little Spicy as well when the front comes through.
Lots to monitor and more rains on the way. Just saw lambert is now running 2 inch surplus for the year, which is nice compared to the drought last year.

Ma Nature: "Everybody's yards look so nice and green. Mowing done every 6-7 days. I need to do something to fix that." Not complaining. Sure beats watching the garden wither away by early summer. That was a lot of work down the drain last season...

It's nice seeing the rivers full for a change. Looks like they'll stay elevated for a bit too...drove up north yesterday to go mushroom hunting near WI and the Sangamon was way out of it's banks with tons of backwater in fields.

I was just thinking the same the other day 920...this is turning into one of those "year of the twisters" type season where the conditions are just ripe for strong tornadogenesis with ample shear and favorable thermodynamics and synoptic support. Haven't seen a season like this in probably 10 years I'd say...2013 or 2011 maybe. Unless I'm forgetting one?

Do any good with the 'shrooms up there? We struck out at a few spots early in the day but hit another spot and picked around 6 or 7 pounds of mostly fresh yellows with a handful that had fruited about a week ago and past prime. Kinda seems like that cold spell that they had around the 20th and then a dry spell before all the rain may have screwed up some hillsides that were getting ready to fruit. They had 4 straight days below freezing with a low of 24* in Dubuque which is close to where we're hunting. That's a hard freeze.

This is just becoming normal this spring Every supercell seems to be able to spin up monster tornadoes The cells SE of San Angelo, TX (south of Vanguard) merged together in a arch look and produced a tornado this evening. That's in a rural area. Robert Lee is more populated!

The SPC has the area in 15% risks for Tuesday and Wednesday next week. CSU is going wild next week. Looking like one heck of a stretch of severe weather.
