2.3" here. Must have come fast as I've got water in the corners of my basement. That sucks. When we bought our home 5 years ago the previous owners had just recently installed a sump pump system and it has done amazing. Haven't had any issues, as I'm knocking on wood. It has been kicking on quite regular the last four days or so.

Just too cool once I get the pictures on Inger and able to download into the blog I'll do that. But it wasn't too Eagles it was one eagle 3 vultures Two Geese, and what ended up being a floating duck decoy that floated in the water because the pond came up to full and it's overflowing the spillway now. They were chowing down on a catfish. It Was a Very Fresh kill so I'm thinking maybe the eagle killed it and then drug it up onto land.🤔🤔 Guessing a 6 to 7 lb catfish. The eagle kept trying to take off with it but it was just a little bit too big of a load.😊 It was a female with a whole belly full of eggs too so that was certainly sad to see. But just nature doing what nature does, absolutely awesome.

1.6” here just NW of Bloomsdale. That, plus Friday nights rain should help the drought some! Keep it coming!

Just wondering why didn’t Fox2 come on to cover the Tornado Warnings last night.

Just wondering why didn’t Fox2 come on to cover the Tornado Warnings last night. Happened where no one lives? Wasn't really that big of deal? No one was in to over it because severe wx wasn't really expected, and didn't really occur? Enquiring minds want to know.

1.48” in my backyard. How are all of your ponds doing? Checked the pond this evening. Still not full! But it's only about 1.5 feet below the spillway now, where it was about 3 feet below. Fed the catfish and they were swarming! The pond doesn't get quite as much runoff as I'd prefer, and the Spring fed creek that dumps (well usually trickles) into it has largely shut down over the past year, due to the extended drought conditions I believe. This rain definitely helps. Hopefully I can get a little more this week.

1.98" here last night...impressive rainfall with a lot of runoff due to the ground already being somewhat saturated. The drought is just about history I'd say.
Looks like we're getting into a rapid fire pattern with lots of shortwaves in the semi-zonal flow moving through. Models show rain chances about every other day for the next week or so. Overall it looks pretty mild...fairly typical weather for this time of year.

The damage I've seen from the Omaha area looked like high end EF3/EF4 with trees stripped of branches and homes destroyed but not completely swept clean and trees debarked like you'd expect from an EF5.
