There is potential that someone in the STL area will have a larger “snowpack” than the snowbelts of the Great Lakes.
This is sad.

Flakes now down to about dime to penny sized, but more numerous still mixing with a bit of rain though. About a 50/50 mix.

Hamster flakes in far NE St. Peters. If only the ground was colder.
And now it's let up. Oh, well. Gave me something to watch while I ate lunch.

First flakes of the year here in the hills of far northern Ste. Gen county. Decent size, about 50/50 rain/snow mix.

Radar still looking good out west, seems to be backbuilding especially along and north if I-70, southward to about the I-270/I-255 loop and north of that. South of that looks to be dry slotted later this afternoon.

NWS is stating some concern over accumulation once the sun sets. Might we see a WWA hoisted with the afternoon update?

NWS is stating some concern over accumulation once the sun sets. Might we see a WWA hoisted with the afternoon update? This has always been the case..accumulation chances higher as sun sets. Wwa is unlikely because it won't be very widespread and road issues will be quite isolated

The band is wrapping around the north side of the circulation and will start to settle south/develop south over the next several hours.
