I'm just not feeling much more than mood flakes from this messy set-up. Even in places where it snows at a decent rate for a bit and does manage to overcome the marginal surface temperatures long enought to accumulate a little... the minute it slows down it's going to melt. That doesn't make this any less of an interesting system...but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Snow plow drivers... I wouldn't expect to move any snow from this...and I'm not sure there will even be a need for salt anywhere...except as a precaution.

Snowplow driver here and I agree that plows won’t be needed on this one and if (and IMO a BIG if) salt is needed it would be mainly on northern facing areas but I do not anticipate doing that at this time. So this system is just one that will mess with my sleep the next two nights.

Aside from Feb 14/15th 2021 and the second half of the GHD 2.0 storm in 2022 these last several years have had so many borderline/marginal/rain-snow and just flat a$$ annoying surface temp situations..lol. It's always a fine line between too cold/dry and too warm. The dates I mentioned above were very rare exceptions when we were deep into an arctic airmass and received several inches of pure powder. Hopefully the pattern shifts to more of a consistent sufficiently cold and active one soon.

For today into this evening...I would be suprised if anyone manages to measure much more than 1 inch. It is going to have to snow really hard to overcome the marginal temps until late today.

Melt layer on CC is losing the battle with the heavier precep rates currently.
Tomorrow night could be interesting with moisture wrapping around the pivoting upper low
NAM is suggesting a couple inches possible for some.

Basically all models show a nice large area of snow moving thru tomorrow night. With a couple inches. Ground will be colder. It'll be overnight. Surface Temps still not real cold but I still say tomorrow night is a wintery night.

R/S line has stalled at the river...seems all too familiar
Hopefully tomorrow's round delivers...should be a better chance for snowfall being under the cold core/CAA zone

Probably a silly question, but I assume any chance of convection or mesobanding is minimal to none?

Pouring snow right now with dimes and a couple nickels thrown in.👍👍
Edit: but nothing is changed as far as the ground goes there's still just a super light dusting of snow on the ground, that's hilarious.🤔
