We finally got the last string of Christmas Lights down from our house. They were unplugged. We were almost done in January then everyone came down with Covid and the Weather sucked most of February.

Guess i might start tuning in the local news again. Stopped at the beginning of covid when they were giving so much air time reporting on the county by county breakdown of covid news. Sorry Chris.
Im sure chris renier hated doing that too, even though he didnt show it. He sure reported on it with passion, which is a good thing. I consider him a great field reporter. I just felt like there were better things for him to report on.

Im also going to kick directtv to the curb. It costs too much especially when theres other less expensive options there. This means i need to come up with a way to get local channels. I see antennas at big box stores like target, but the range is 40 miles and i dont know where the transmitters are located. Im 35 miles from downtown. I had no issues with my old analog antenna that i hung in the attic 30 years ago, so maybe im ok with the distance on the new antenna. Had dtv for a long time but its time to get rid of them.

You can get the little digital boxes for local tv at Walmart for $20. Most new TVs have them built in. We don’t pay for any cable or anything. Local and the streaming services is all. Of course though the two local channels we can’t pick up are 2 and 11 for some reason.

No such thing as a digital or analog antenna. I have a small omnidirectional antenna in the attic. I get all the worthwhile local channels.
Use antennaweb.org to learn where the transmitters are. Most are in South County.

Many years ago when my husband and I were dating, he joked and said that he wanted to run for POTUS. His entire platform would be to get rid of Daylight Savings Time and low flow toilets; his two pet peeves. Then he would quit and turn the job over to someone else. I can't wait to say 'Honey, one of your dreams may be coming true!' lol

Wouldn't it be simpler to make standard time permanent. Simpler? Yes. But I believe most people like me want the daylight savings permanent. More daylight in the evening.
