Just a little south of the #7 GEFS run. I certainly like this possibility. Pretty cool how the lead 500mb closed low gets squashed into the GOM. I think this is a visual of what BRTN was saying a couple of days ago about the ridge was not going to get pumped up as much as the models were showing earlier. Please correct me if I'm off on that. You feel/hear that explosion? Walked outside and the sky to my NW is glowing orange and red with popping.

Guess it’ll be time to go through the trucks this weekend and make sure all is ready to go come middle of next week.

My NWS forecast shows "isolated snow showers"...not sure I've seen that one before.

Gfs continues with a flatter look for wave 1. Decent amount of ice and then hits us with blizzard for wave 2.

Was just going to say something about the 06z gfs. Lol
Still has the storm in our wheel house.
Wave 1 looks weaker and further north with the main area of snow. Not getting caught up in all that who gets what what type.
2nd wave wow! Hits STL good. Especially areas along and south and southeast of the area.

Yeah, that’s why I’m up early 😂 Forecast was for it to be in Indiana yesterday, but now a howitzer band has found me on the northwest side. Have a couple inches so far, but if it goes stationary somebody will get a foot around here. Crazy how hard LES is to forecast. Regardless, will definitely take the sting out if I’m too far north for next week.

I thought you were in an apt. in the city. I lived downtown in a high rise by the lake until May. My wife was done with the high rise life, so we found a house on the northwest side of the city.

The hi-res Nam actually kind of shows the "eye" feature off the coast of MA that the forecast discussions were talking about up there. Man, if I was 30 years older and retired I'd be taking a road trip.

World Series, that’s beautiful, with today’s snow and next weeks potential storm Chicago area will probably be fairly close to average if you can get 8-12” with that storm

Yall are trending in the right direction. Looks like it will be a little too fast and unamped as it rolls over the terrain here to put down anything huge. LSRs will have to carry us

The 06z EPS has several huge runs in it. The control run might be the biggest
Mean 10:1 snow in the metro through 12am Thursday was 4” in the metro

Quite breezy with a temp of 22° partly sunny. Feels decent in the sun but chilly when you step around the corner. Good day to cut, split and stack firewood
