This is yet another example of a learning experience for us to realize when temperature borderline. Assuming they'll just change over faster than the model say or whatever is always seem to turn out AS COMPLETE BULL****. HOW IN THE F*** IS IT STILL RAINING WHEN THE SO CALLED WARM LAYER IS UNDER 1C??? LMAO FRIV!!! I would rather have DAM or Dry Slot than this damn RAIN!! Ugh. Don't say that my man... The short term models are starting to show us turning to snow then start losing to dry air shortly after

Definitely some slushy raindrops here in Arnold
Looks like the melt layer is shrinking on radar
We have to be close

Well at least the rain showers currently pressing through are more respectable than the first few hours.
This will do wonders for my asparagus & squash crop.

I thought we were getting close like 2-3 hours ago. I failed miserably on my prediction of a rather quick change over. I thought 1-2 hours it would go over, not the 6+ We are going on right now .

I thought we’d change over pretty quick to. That aircraft sounding jmg posted shows a small warm layer just above the surface that is messing with us.

Not sure how accurate this is but the rain/snow radar from weather underground still shows rain falling in southern Iowa, with the same shape as the critical thickness lines showed. Looks like a damn bell sitting over Missouri. I am in disbelief at how much rain is covering Missouri.
Edit: Sitting at 35* for last couple hours, still moderate rain falling.

HOW IN THE F*** IS IT STILL RAINING WHEN THE SO CALLED WARM LAYER IS UNDER 1C??? Relax man. Where we live, it's always borderline and it sucks. Barely any of this makes sense to me but I do trust the NWS. You're so close. It's coming... (nobody follow that up with a quote from The Office). Come to my house for next go-around. We'll relax, have a warm meal, have a few drinks and enjoy the evening without having to worry so much.

Snow has been mostly on the light side with an occasional moderate burst in Brighton. Looks like about a half inch so far. Hoping the band can come a bit further E...we're really riding the edge on the IL side so far.
