Seeing small flakes here. Not many, but it's a start Confirmed or is it mist?

Seeing a report of flakes in Jerseyville. Getting closer Edit: Now Alton. Radar looks phenomenal. NWS upped totals to 4-8" IMBY...surprised they didn't go with a warning. Anything frozen coming down?

Down to 37* with light rain......I don't always sew, but when I do, I sew voodoo dolls in likenesses of people that are getting snow when I am getting rain.

That explains it 920...they are generally expecting less than 6" total this far SE...but I'm not sold. This thing looks very well developed and will focus hours and hours of Fgen enhancement along the river valley. I'm thinking MBY will end up closer to the 6-8" range at this point but we'll see how it goes. The Metro is still in a good spot and will probably only take an hour or so to switch over is what I'm thinking...maybe two. The boundary is still oozing SW with pressure rises behind it.

RAP and HRRR both look awesome tonight, HRRR has shifted a little more East , not quite as perfect as the RAP but closer to the metro. RAP is hammering the metro overnight

RAP is hammering the metro overnight Yeah the HRRR looks hot for the metro! Looks like after 9pm/10pm it will start changing to snow for areas 15-30 mi west of the Mississippi. Quicker further north as we've said. Looks like Btrn may be in the thick of it!

Dropping pretty nicely now. Was at 43.4°F an hour ago and now I’m down to 37.6°F. That’s a good sign to me.

I have 33.7F in Belleville.
Should be snowing in St. Clair county by 8-815PM.
Also the HRRR is actually pretty weak along the river and in IL.
However real time tracking looks like the HRRR is to far West.
Down to 33.4F.
Must be a warm layer until 2000 feet.
