These supercells are maturing as they approach the Metro...not good at all. The two impacting the metro are starting to clear out there inflows and wrap around RFD winds Usually a precursor to tornado tornadogenesis

Nothing like watching a tornado warning just west of the house from a hot tub in Destin. Might as well relax while I can

Small hail in High Ridge. Torrential Rain. Looking for input on the best Radarscope product for hail. Seems like Specific Differential Phase gives a good indicator, even though it's more for heavy rain.

VIL...the digital product is best for locating the hail core, the old VIL at the bottom of the list is best for determining hail size IMO

Thanks. Looks pretty tough over the 270/44 into Kirkwood area. Yep, some 60kg/m2 returns...usually indicates golf ball or bigger It also confirms the bad stuff in North County. The Hi-Res Specific Differential Phase gives a similar signature and looks prettier, but I agree the digital VIL gives better information.

Dupo and milistadt, IL look to be next. Might sail south of Belleville but too close for comfort. Looks like we'll get the worst of the hail though.
