Merry Christmas everyone! I know it is cloudy and wet... but to me... that kind of makes Christmas better because it makes you feel more "warm and cozy" inside. I know it's weird, but that's just me.
Please take time to enjoy family, memories and remember the deeper meaning of the season...peace on earth and good will to ALL!

Merry Muddy Christmas all!
Still looking snow squally to me later this week followed by more seasonal cold and potential for a storm around the 3-5th.

Merry Christmas all.
It is warmer here this morning than it is in SoCal. Was not hoping for that, but at least we are getting some kind of precip.

Merry muddy Christmas. No rant today like the one years ago. Only .32 here. Not as much as expected.

Morning models seem to be taking the system and snow chances further west. Lol

Merry Muddy Christmas all! Still looking snow squally to me later this week followed by more seasonal cold and potential for a storm around the 3-5th. The large-scale pattern after NYD does look somewhat favorable with a large HP pressing in and a S stream disturbance ejecting underneath. Still way out there though.

Looks like a narrow squall has developed just W of the river...bet there's some gusty winds and a heavy downpour with that

GFS sure is bullish with the cut-off snow potential on Wednesday...we'd be looking at several inches of accumulation if it weren't for the borderline surface temps if that verified.

Merry Christmas, Cornerites! Hope for colder and a few flakes this week! My hubby couldn’t believe some of you had a/c on yesterday! He wouldn’t let me turn ours on! In December!

This was the first year I ever remember seeing mosquitoes on Xmas eve. I saw a few bugs flying around when I was out yesterday. Very unusual for sure.

We had moths flying around the back door over the weekend. I always thought they were among the first to go away in the fall.

18Z GFS looks kinda of interesting! Ya it goes crazy across the area with our cutoff low in a couple days. The 500mb vort has been trending stronger and even hints of a surface low trying to develop. An odd system to say the least.

We can hope the models trend toward the 18z GFS. If they do, I'll be more interested for sure.

00z nam dropping some nice snow across the metro east.
Models will struggle with exact track, but looks like some decent snow will come down somewhere in the region.
