Here we go... it's October and time for fresh weather content as we try and search for hope of cooler weather in the extended forecast. All signs point to unsettled weather for the weekend... but on the other side will be at least a short round of fall temperatures. And who knows what happens after two more weeks

This year is flying. We need more than just a short period of fall weather. This warm and humid stuff has got to go.

Revised CPC forecast for October. Blah The large-scale pattern sure seems to continue to favor massive upper ridging across most of the lower 48 and southern Canada going into this month. If it wasn't for the embedded cut-off lows getting trapped underneath, we'd be roasting.

We get our hopes up for something epic, or at least mildly interesting, only to be bitterly disappointed!😉

I'm in line at Buchheit's to get some feeder fish for the pond. I already posted that we lost a lot of our big catfish and bass. These feeders were already ordered. Looks like some showers that we're coming up to the house dried up and a lot of heavy stuff already looks Northwest of me. I hope we get some decent rain I'm probably at 24 to 28 inches low.

Yeah it lost some juice. Rain shield rain into some drier air I guess. Hopefully we get a better shot later.

Any thoughts on what time the rain will end overnight/startup tomorrow? I am running my first ever half marathon tomorrow in St. Charles starting at 7:30 am.

Seasonally, seems like things are coming together for an interesting pattern for the northwest part of the country - very similar to what we saw a few years ago in places like Portland, Seattle.

0.16 here in Chesterfield for the day. If I got that much here I'd be surprised. My wife was running errands and apparently other locations in St. Peters got more than I did.

It looks like the Pacific jet will finally punch into the lower 48 into next week with several waves digging into the Plains and ejecting out. The pattern looks fairly unsettled and stormy heading into mid-month with severe potential and continuing to be warm overall.

Got just under .2" yesterday and overnight. Frankly we really aren't that dry up here to matter.

What a strange day. It’s, dark, it’s sunny, it’s pouring while the sun is out, sprinkles, dry. It has kep everyone on their toes, including the ground crew at Busch.

Last year we had a freeze before I could get my sprinkler lines blown out. This year it looks like I won't have a problem. Hoping his winter is mild, I would like to get my house built in O'Fallon Il by the time the hubs retires from the Air Force.
