Maybe you all are seeing something else, but to me it doesn't appear that the hard freeze had much of an affect on anything last week. Kind of surprised with temps in the mid to low 20's like that. I noticed the same. Wonder if warm ground temps helped out? It was also a dry airmass...little to no frost formation. Some of my peach tree buds are dead and others arent. |

Metropolis seems west of trajectory No, they don’t actually live in Metropolis. The location was actually right on line with where we thought it would be. It is literally right on the line that I drew. The lady who lives there saw something weird in her pond. She called her son (who had seen the social media posts) and he figured it had to be the balloon. Her husband fished it out. It looks to be in pretty good shape all things considered. What’s even crazier is that as we were talking we figured out that the guy’s cousin is my dentist! |

Some of my peach tree buds are dead and others arent. Now that you mention it, I did notice most of the apple tree buds bit the dust. I put out a big 4ft shop fan on our peach tree because it had about 50% bloom. It appears that it worked, not seeing anything burnt. |

That is great that it was found SnowManJoe. That would also be a good lesson in detetive work using coordinates and wind directions to chart a path to begin looking. Too cool.
