18z gfs coming in better. It finally is showing precip along and behind the front. However, the gap between the frontal precipitation and southern energy should make for a classic split. Ya if things are timed just right I could see the northern counties getting hit with the fgen band and southern counties getting hit with moisture from the south. Still to far away to worry about that though

Hoping for the best for you Luann. I recently had a close family member diagnosed with cancer as they were entering their senior year of high school. Life isn’t fair sometimes

I hope you all don't mind if I ask for prayers. I have been diagnosed with a rare, aggressive type of cancer, leiomyosarcoma (back in the first part of Sept). Currently doing radiation to try & knock the wind out of it so it can be removed surgically. It's the size of a cantaloupe (& still growing) & I feel like I'm pregnant. It has squished my left kidney & basically fills that whole quadrant of my abdomen. Two more weeks of radiation then 4 weeks to 'cool off' then surgery to remove. TIA LuAnn aka FO I will pray for your full and complete healing.

00z nam is already blowing up a healthy Fgen band, so it’s ahead of the gfs.

Gotta keep the nam’s juicy tendencies in mind. Though I think that has been less of a thing here lately hasn’t it?

The Icon blows up good precip over the area but it falls as rain.
Tough setup, might be best suited to root for the Fgen band to find its way into town.

Through hour 72, gfs way beefier with the Fgen snow
Oh so close to something nice at hour 84.
This is a huge improvement from 12z.

LuAnn my son in law had the same cancer in his arm. He is currently in remission. Praying God will be with you, and brings you strength and courage as you go through this.

This is a teetering setup. Will likely be one that will try to pull the rug in either direction up until 12 hrs prior.

Legitimate hoar frost down this way, especially in the creek valleys. Tons of frost flowers too.
Hopefully the models come back some today. The trends aren’t great and the gfs and euro have traded places.

Heading down to Branson and seeing a bunch of ice in spots on the side of the road clinging to some type of bush almost looks like soap suds or someone lost a truckload of small pieces of Styrofoam, l it is easily climbing up to 2/3 in on the particular stalk that it's clinging to in the ground. Thought hoar Frost was more on needles of grass and stuff not on stalks right at the ground.
