So far just a few sprinkles here. Even have a bit of hazy sun right now More of just an annoying type scenario. Enough to keep the sidewalks wet where I had planned to mulch at today. Don’t want to get mulch sticking and not able to blow off clean. Customer wouldn’t be happy about that

I see the forecast at St. Louis is 67 for this afternoon. I am sitting at 52 in de soto. I think Chris has nailed it today. Doesn't look like I will get out of the rain any time soon either.

Yup. Not a chance we make mid much less upper 60s. Upper 50s to near 60 is it. But will anyone notice?

I knocked down that sewer line ridge. Got some grass seed in there yesterday. Seems like perfect weather for starting some grass

Looks to me- severe chances look to ramp up the first week of May Looks that way to me too. There were some very typical large differences in details between last nights global runs/ensembles at that lead time but all show some flavor of troughiness in the west and Gulf return flow.

Should be a morel explosion over most areas. Can't ask for anything better than this weather wise

Should be a morel explosion over most areas. Can't ask for anything better than this weather wise I agree. I wish it were a little warmer but it is coming. We had a good bit of rain down here. Even a rainy night around 50-55 like we just had can produce.

Well,... I had sunshine?... ... For a little bit! I had it for about that long, too. Temp jumped up to 65 while it was out. Soon as the clouds covered it up the temp fell back 4 degrees

The title of that song is about as confusing as our weather, so I thought it was fitting to associate it here

It's tough to say where enhanced severe threat areas may be (i.e. where CAPE/shear/lift all come together), but the similarity with upper/lower mass fields in the ensemble means among the global models does strongly suggest severe weather will ramp up next week somewhere from the plains to the Mississippi. Will we get in on the action...don't know.

Yes...we lose KPLR...but we pick up KDNL and ABC programming which is FAR superior. ABC programming may be better but KDNL has no news department. That is an opportunity, but there are certainly going to be issues in that regard. No doubt there's lots of details to be worked out about what happens to the KPLR news segments. Hopefully the KTVI can stay in Westport.
