This is later than I had hoped and not nearly as interesting as I would like... but it is what it is... So far this season St. Louis has received less than 1 inch of snowfall --- 0.3 to be exact. It was a little tough looking these numbers up so I welcome scrutiny... but from what I can determine from going back through 1945... this winter season is quickly marching up the list of latest 1" snowfalls. We are now inside the top 20 latest 1 inch snowfalls (going back to 1945). There is some fantasy snow in the long range... but if all the fantasy model snow that has been forecast by the models had actually fallen... you guys would be wishing for spring. Ok... maybe not THIS group lol.

Let's hope we can break the snow drought like in 1958 with nearly a foot of snow

Thanks for posting that Chris. Man, the 50’s really sucked if you liked snow. Most of us already knew that from eyeballing the charts over the years. Crazy that the top 4 didn’t see snow until March or April. I really hope we can turn the tide soon, looks promising. Anyone have an epo chart update?

Ill post the GEFS because it looks better than the EPS.
The EPS keep the EPO slightly positive after the 16th

It’s good to see the GEFS pretty consistent with accumulating snow towards the middle and end of the 14 day period. That’s a good sign .

Does the EURO show anything? It has a system but it doesn't get going until east of here (shocking I know)

When you only have. .25” of snow in two months of winter , you can only go up or stay the same. It really can’t get any worse...

GEM ensemble develops a 3 wave pattern towards D10 which should be much more stable than the current pattern allowing storms to mature with a longer wavelength and cold airmass to lock in better and not get washed out. The pattern in the Pacific is about to undergo HUGE changes in the coming days...finally!

00z Icon has a nice storm by next Sunday.
That appears to be the next thing worth watching.
Hopefully, we don’t get a sheared out mess that slides SSE and gives Arkansas all the snow

Ya I'm almost done with this Winter season. It just doesn't seem to be our yr....again.
I'm hoping the pattern sets up better the second half. If not I'm hoping for a really good severe weather season. But I doubt we will get that either. Time will tell I guess.
