I don't really recall so many summer storms with winds out of the N or NNW like we've had this year.

Just received 1.96" of rain since 6:10pm. And a total of 2.17" today here by the Belleville metrolink.
And another round of storms is about to move through.

So sick of these types of setups! Ugh, it's so been the norm this spring/summer.

Might be a flash flood threat developing down near 44/64 with training cells bubbling up out of the SW.

Southern half of the metro is gonna get soaked over the next several hours due to training. Could be some 5-8" tallies in spots before it's all said and done.

Hit 100 at the airport just before 3 PM. First and hopefully only triple digit day under our belts. Somehow don't think Summer is done yet though could get ugly again after next week with more excessive heat.

That little inflow notch by Belleville is looking suspicious Besides some blinding downpours and 35-45 mph gusts for about 30 seconds not much came out of it. Just a few more small limbs dropped likely weakened from the previous storms almost 2 weeks ago now.

We got a boat load of rain here in Waterloo. Just finished pumping down the pool and it needed water added today lol. Looks like I may need to pump it again in the morning. Ugh

Don't see a lot of support for that...modeling pretty well locks us on the downslope side of the ridge putting us in the NW flow.

Would love to hear how Festusland fared in the storms as we are Out of town and praying for a dry basement!

Yep, the 12Z/18Z GFS parks the core of the 597/600 ridge over the 4 corners for nearly two weeks straight. Of course, that doesn't preclude extreme temperature anomalies in certain parts of the St. Peters/O'Fallon area.

Hey all I know is I have adjusted my thermometer as well as all my neighbors and we have just been running unusually hotter than the rest of the area. I wonder if it is because where I live off of willot road from my house to my mom and dads in ofallon we have only had 1.54 inches of rain since may 28. I just wonder if a small scale drought pocket could be causing us to be a few degrees hotter. Even on days there is diurnal cumulus clouds they seem to all but dissipate over my area. Just saying

What he said..... also, nice, long, rolling thunder. No rain gauge but De Soto got alot. Basing it on my pond, probably 1.5-1.75". Looks like more to come.

That guy had a few too many concussions and zero tactical instinct. Time for a shakeup. Now, trade Carpenter and Norris to the Yankees (or whoever misses out on Machado) and do a soft reboot. Team has pieces but needs that galvanizing presence.

1.69" officially last night, east of town in my rain gauge I have well over an inch more than the official measurement. Received some localized tree and limb damage in a very narrow north/south corridor centered on the middle Of town during the first storms yesterday.
