Been hearing constant thunder and seeing faint lightning to my west. Anybody in stc or warren county getting anything? Radar not showing anything. Pyromania was having their big display tonight at Cedar Lakes

Looks eerily similar to last year. Seems like it flipped about every 6 weeks. I look at the strong SW troughing as a good sign overall, even if it can't overcome the SE ridge in the short term.

NHC is beginning advisories on newly minted Tropical Storm Karen way down there at 12N latitude in the southern Windward Islands. ECM and UKM steer the system north but then build a ridge over the top of the system after day 5. May have to keep an eye on this one...

Having a warm start to fall never really bothered me because that usually means the second half of fall and into the start of winter is cold....usually. Let’s hope that’s the case here

I appreciate the optimism from FOX2, but that email headline isn't quite right (yet)... Yeah, a number of us called and chewed out the web team for screwing that up.

At least it wasn't channel five's "cards clench playoff spot"
I swear it's like amateur hour over there, always grammatical errors on screen.

After that series, the only ones clenching were the Cubbies.

Impressive wall of water working across MO... Light showers is all it has produced here so far. Only .13” in the Gauge so far. Yeah, it really fell apart...seems like drought conditions are slowly trying to take hold across the area after such a wet spring and summer.
